2nd Tomsk University Cities Forum

PHOSPHORIS participated in the second International Forum of University Cities held from November 30rd to December 1st, 2017. The forum was organized by the Transsiberian Scientific Way Research Center (TSSW), the National State University of search for Tomsk. It brought together leading experts in the fields of urban, scientific and technological development, cluster policy, university, government and business representatives.

Participants discussed methods of university participation in the development of the new economy of the city and region. In addition, the event addressed the best practices of the transformation of universities into centers of innovative, technological and social development of territories.

Eric AUBSPIN, President of the PHOSPHORIS group, spoke at the conference on “Synergies of Urban and Ecological Knowledge and Skills”, alongside academic representatives and the United Nations. He presented the Chengdu (China) Eco-district project of the TianFu New Area as an example of the City of Tomorrow: mobility, green energy, bioclimatic design and HQE (Environnemental High Quality) are some of the topics that were discussed. For this project, Phosphoris has used innovative tools, such as its territory-wide energy consumption simulation software (or ValEnTis®), which intelligently sizes facilities and takes advantage of the heat of rejection; and environmental concepts such as the Sponge Town Principle to increase the availability of fresh water (use for toilets, watering, etc.) and reduce the risk of floods in heavy rain.
